Bill Reichert

Garage

Bill Reichert has over 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur and operating executive. Since joining Garage in 1998, Bill has focused on early-stage information technology and materials science companies. He has been a board director or board observer at CaseStack, WhiteHat Security, ClearFuels Technology, Simply Hired, MiaSole, D.light Design, ThermoCeramix, and VisaNow, among others. Prior to Garage, Bill was a co-founder or senior executive in several venture-backed technology startups, including Trademark Software, The Learning Company, and Academic Systems. Earlier in his career, he worked at McKinsey & Company, Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., and the World Bank.

Bill earned a B.A. at Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Stanford University. He was a founding board member and a Chairman of the Churchill Club, and a Board Member of the Silicon Valley Association of Startup Entrepreneurs. Currently he is the Chairman of the Small Fund Roundtable of the VC Taskforce and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations in New York.

Xiao Wang

InnoSpring

Dr. Xiao Wang is the Venture Partner at InnoSpring Inc., the first US-China cross border technology incubator since 2012. She currently leads business development and cross-border partnership team. Dr. Wang is also the Project Lead at Entels, a pharmaceutical consulting company where she advises global Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology companies for drug development decisions, including target evaluation/ prioritization, translational medicine, biomarker analysis, and clinical trial design.

Dr. Wang Co-Founded China America Innovation Network (CHAIN), a professional non-profit organization envisioned to help transform innovation into value through fostering entrepreneurship in 2011. She is an honored associate member of Tsinghua Entrepreneur and Executive Club (TEEC) and the president of Tsinghua Alumni Association of Northern California (THAA-NC).

Dr. Wang earned her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio and her B.S. in Biological Sciences from Tsinghua University in Beijing China.

Mario Tapia

Momentum

Mario Tapia is a founder of Momentum, a mobile focused accelerator. Momentum recruits mobile startups from around the globe and brings them to Silicon Valley. It is a 12 week program to help the startups in the program grow and form partnerships with Brands, Companies, Investors and Mentors. Mario has been a volunteer community leader of mobile industry groups for 14 years. He is a founder of the MobileMonday groups in Seattle and Los Angeles, and is currently the President of MobileMonday Silicon Valley chapter with over 12,000 members. Mario has more than 20 years of experience across mobile, Internet and leading edge technologies.

He is recognized as a subject matter expert in developer relations, the app economy, emerging markets, mobile advertising, and brand engagement. Prior to Momentum, Mario was director of product and then business development for GetJar. Mario also launched products for Yahoo! Latin America, Danger, Disney Mobile, T-Mobile, AT&T Wireless, and pioneered the first SMS voting for AmericanIdol.

Additionally, Mario served as a consultant for companies like SK Telecom Intl., Cell Japan, and Nokia. He holds two patents for Location Based Services. Mario holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from California State University at Fresno and completed post-graduate work in Engineering at the University of Washington. He currently resides in San Francisco California, and enjoys bike riding and sailing.

Rodolfo Gonzalez

Passionate about technology and extending financial services innovation to promote economic growth, Rodolfo is fascinated by financial disintermediation, peer-to-peer funding, and bringing transparency and simplicity to the consumer experience. Rodolfo brings experience in financial services, management consulting, having spent several years at McKinsey & Co, and on impact investing, having recently completed a summer fellowship with Open Capital Advisors. As part of McKinsey’s Latin America Financial Institutions Group, Rodolfo was actively engaged with clients across a spectrum of financial institutions, including banks, insurers, asset managers, and payments processors across Latin America. Rodolfo also participated in economic development projects and financial literacy promotion, and developed cross-country methodologies to measure financial inclusion for SME’s and individuals in Latin America.

Rodolfo is the coauthor of several different knowledge perspectives on retail banking, payments, and SME banking in Latin America.
During the summer of 2012, Rodolfo worked with Open Capital Advisors in Nairobi, Kenya. This impact investing advisory firm helps social enterprises in East Africa to raise capital. Over the summer, Rodolfo worked with clients in renewable energy, agribusiness, and private health care delivery. Rodolfo recently completed his MBA at MIT Sloan with a concentration in Finance and Entrepreneurship. He also holds degrees in Marketing from ITESM, and International Relations from UNAM in his homeland of Mexico.

Yuri Rabinovich

Yuri is an accomplished information systems architect, a research scientist, and an entrepreneur with experience in advanced research in information systems, event-based systems, scalability and distributed data processing. Yuri’s leadership and past experience enabled him to build a global network of 10,000+ entrepreneurs, mentors, investors, and partners who provide their ecosystem, expertise and support to the StartupMonthly ecosystem.

Yuri has an extensive experience in incubating ideas, mentoring early stage startups by providing constructive feedback, helping identify viable business ideas, business models and product roadmaps. Yuri is one of the connectors in Silicon Valley ecosystem and can provide valuable introductions to startups and companies who want to start operating in the US market. Most importantly, Yuri has the passion and ability to evolve the startup ecosystem and promote innovative entrepreneurship in teams and young companies. Yuri served as the Captain and Information Systems Engineer in the Israeli Defense Forces and led the effort to build, and integrate knowledge management systems within the army.

Her strategic expertise serves as the filter at the point-of-entry and guidance to more than 1000 companies per year. Customer-service oriented, Jackie delivers exemplary account management and seamless operations processes across multiple departments. With more than 20 years of customer service, international trade, and logistics experience Ms. Hernandez has helped the Amidi Group give birth to three other operations in Southern California that service the entertainment industry. While in Mexico, Jackie established and developed the first nationwide plastics bulk distribution system for Chemtex International that linked cross-border, multimodal truck-rail routes to move over US$100M worth plastic raw materials per year. Under her tenure the company grew 10-fold to what is today one of the largest food and packaging plastics distribution channels of ExxonMobile in Mexico. Prior to Chemtex, Jackie cut her teeth on international trade, serving as imports manager of commodity raw materials in the automotive industry working for Bujias Champion de Mexico, later acquired by Cooper Industries. Ms. Hernandez graduated from the National Autonomous University of Mexico with a major in chemistry and specialty in pharmacobiology and immunology. Her passion for education has taken her from teaching high school biology and physics to entrepreneurship lectures at TEDx, Instituto Technologico de Monterrey and with Stanford Prof. Tom Kosnik for the National University of Singapore.
